120.000

Statistics give any piece of news extra credibility. Anyone can read up on the statistics of the Syrian conflict and find out that over two million refugees have fled to neighbouring countries because of the atrocities of war. They chose Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and Iraq.

Thus, Jordan has built the second largest refugee camp in the world, Za'atari, which is home to roughly 120.000 Syrian refugees. What we must never forget is the fact that these people are more than just a statistic. They are human beings with individual stories, worries and hopes.
